Buddhābhiṣeka / Kai-Guang
Kai-Guang, this is the ritual for opening the eyes of a Buddha object. The ceremony involves reciting the Kai-Guang mantra, requesting the Buddha and Bodhisattvas to bless the object with their divine power.
The *Sarva Tathagata Anxiang Samadhi Ritual Sutra* states: “Furthermore, the light of the eyes of the Buddha object is opened, similar to applying eye-opening powder, and then the two mantras for opening the light of the eyes are recited.”
Kai-Guang rituals must be performed by highly skilled monks in specific halls within a temple.
Any Kai-Guang karma objects will not have a certificate or elaborate packaging. They will only be packaged in a red envelope.
Photography and videography by non-temple personnel are prohibited.
We can provide paid video recordings of Kai-Guang rituals to guarantee the authenticity of your karma objects.
